Note:

Moore Shipbuilding Company engaged in shipbuilding and ship repair. It was founded in 1905 when Robert S. Moore, Joseph A. Moore, and John Thomas Scott purchased the National Iron Works of San Francisco, and changed its name to the Moore & Scott Iron Works. In 1909, Moore and Scott moved to the W.A. Boole and Son Shipyard in Oakland. In 1917, Moore bought out Scott and changed the business name to Moore Shipbuilding Company. In 1922, the company was renamed again as Moore Dry Dock Company. It operated primarily as a repair yard, but its shipbuilding capabilities expanded during World War II. Shipbuilding was discontinued after the war, but repair operations continued until the company closed in 1961.
